Desarrollado por Vanillaware y dirigido por George Kamitani, fusiona ciencia ficción, mecha y una estructura narrativa no lineal para contar trece historias que, juntas, componen un rompecabezas emotivo y cerebral. Que un juego así llegue a Nintendo Switch atrae dos reacciones previsibles: entusiasmo sincero de fans que quieren jugarlo en modo portátil, y la búsqueda de formas más rápidas o "alternativas" de acceder al juego —de ahí términos como “NSP” y “descarga” que aparecen en búsquedas en español.
